following the December 2008 – January 2009 conflict. It is providing a
developmental capacity building of non-state actors in addition to a
humanitarian response for older people including provision of food,
psychosocial support, livelihoods support and physical rehabilitation.

vulnerable older people in the occupied Palestinian territory”.

Main responsibilities of the position;
The
employee is assigned to participate in rehabilitative programme that
aims to improve the older people health status including; mobility,
relieve pain, increase strength and decrease or prevent complications
diseases-affected older people. He/she is responsible to assess and
follow up older people in the area of activities.
Duration of the contract: 10 months starting as of March 2012, extension is possible.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
-Assessing the needs of the older persons living in remote areas
-Identify, train and support home care volunteers in their day to day activities
-Assist in establishing and cooperate with local community groups in the targeted area
-Provide home based rehabilitation and care services for older people in daily basis (5-6 older people per day)
-Perform basic and follow up assessment of the older people
-Instruct the home carers and older people patients on how to maintain
self-care and monitoring their health status in regularly.
-Responsible for submitting written patient notes including assessment,
evaluation, and care plan for each visit. Reports will be submitted to
Project Coordinator and filled in patient Data profile daily/weekly.
-Collaborate with the closed primary health care unit (MOH or UNRWA) for patients profile follow up
Main qualifications
-Health background, Diploma/BSc degree
-Has experience in household visit preferably with older people
-Ability to set up action plan of visits and follow up tools for beneficiaries
-Welling to work with old people
-Has ability to read, write and speak English language
-Has good computer skills (MS office)
-Has ability to move in all Gaza governorates (buffer zone areas)
-Team player
