RESPONSIBILITIES In accordance with Agency policy and procedures, the ideal
candidate:
· Manages
information systems and databases, including development, customization and
maintenance;
· Develops
proposals for new or changes to existing systems and applications, including
securing devices with the ultimate objective to improve the overall flow of the
business process;
· Collects
and documents user requirements and preparation of system and programme
specifications;
· Prepares
instruction manuals and other documentation for the systems and applications to
which assigned;
· Develops
training material and conducts training for users of the applications to which
assigned;
· Produces
monthly statistical report and other reports required by the supervisors;
· Assists
in the set up of internet/IT link;
· Liaises
with ISO Office on IT related matters;
· Performs
such other duties as may be assigned.
PERSONAL
& PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES
· A
university degree in computer science or any other related field.
· At least
two years experience in the area of information systems, applications’
development and implementation;
· Experience
with various MS development tools and packages in both client-server and
web-based environments.
· Good
command of written and spoken English
· Ability
to take initiative and maintain effective relationships with all concerned;
· Demonstrated
skills in team work and interpersonal skills;
· Flexibility
and willingness to learn new skills through knowledge of modern office
procedures;
· Ability
to build up effective control system;
· Ability
to plan, prioritize and organize own work;
· The
incumbent will be required to work beyond normal duty hours.
CONDITIONS
OF SERVICE
· Basic
Salary: Monthly basic salary $983.80; plus a currency adjustment factor
(present rate 23%) and monthly dependency allowance up to $123.25.
· Contract
Duration: Three years including 1 year probation period.
· Leave: 30
days annual leave
· Pension:
Provident Fund contribution
· Other
conditions of service and benefits may apply.
EQUIVALENCY
Candidates with an equivalent combination of relevant academic
qualifications, professional training and progressive work experience may also
be considered ASSESSMENT METHOD
Qualified candidates will
