MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
In accordance with Agency policy and procedures, the ideal candidate:
- Receives, sorts and registers incoming mail; locates and attaches referenced background material and distributes to staff members as appropriate, drafts simple and routine correspondence, files documents and dispatches mail;
- Performs word processing duties; creates, updates and maintains materials using standard computer applications;
- Checks accuracy of materials produced and takes action as necessary;
- Maintains files, registers records and backs up important materials in electronic format as directed;
- Orders and safe keeps office supplies;
- Performs such other duties as may be assigned.
- Completion of full secondary education;
- Completion of a post secondary secretarial course of at least one year duration.
- Ability to operate standard computer software used by the Agency including MS Word, Access, Excel and Outlook.
- At least three years relevant experience with proven work ability mentioned above.
- Good command of spoken and written English and Arabic.
- Basic drafting skills in English;
- Good work organizing skills;
- Interpersonal skills;
- Word processing skills.
- Basic Salary: Monthly basic salary $669.70; plus a currency adjustment factor (present rate 25%) and monthly dependency allowance up to $123.25.
- Contract Duration: Three years including 1 year probation period.
- Leave: 30 days annual leave
- Pension: Provident Fund contribution
- Other conditions of service and benefits may apply.
Candidates with an equivalent combination of relevant academic qualifications, professional training and progressive work experience may also be considered
ASSESSMENT METHOD
