Children’s Relief Bethlehem is an international humanitarian, non-profit organization, with its headquarters in Switzerland. Caritas Baby Hospital, established in Bethlehem 60 years ago, is the pilot project of Children’s Relief Bethlehem. The Hospital has a wide range of activities: an 82-bed pediatric hospital with a full range of diagnostic facilities, an extensive pediatric outpatient clinic, a diversified social work sector, and an officially recognized nursing college for practical nurses. At present, the Hospital has the following vacancy:

RESIDENT DOCTOR:

This is a training position that allows young medical graduates to gain theoretical and practical experience in pediatrics to allow them eventually

to specialize in this field of medicine.

The jobholder will participate in admission/discharge of patients, daily rounds in the pediatric wards and consultation of patients at the Outpatient

Clinic of the Hospital or at any outreach location linked to the Hospital.

He/she has to be able to give lectures both to the medical team and to the students at the Hospital’s Nursing College.

The jobholder must be skilled and accurate in doing medical documentation, using medical equipment, must have also basic computer skills and a basic knowledge of spoken and written English. He/she must have good communication skills both with colleagues, staff, patients and their parents.

Further, the position requires professionalism, empathy and a high eagerness to learn.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in pediatrics. All candidates must have a valid practicing medical license.

Employment is on an annual basis, renewable for a maximum period of four years.
